We Indians never compromise when it comes to showing off our culture, pride, and not to forget all the family ceremonies. Marriages have always been a big source of gossip for blabbermouths and snooty people. Therefore, people try to make their weddings sorted depending upon their social status and financial background. Let's take a brief overview of how an Indian wedding invitations looks.

Activities performed during an Indian wedding

1. People from the groom's side and the bride's side meet each other. It is a good way to greet and interact with one another and establish good family relations.

2. Engagement that is ring ceremony (although it depends upon your choice)

3. Fixing marriage dates and organizing ceremonies. (I'm not taking any ceremonies’ name as it depends upon your religion and customs you follow or even if you want to include it in your weddings)

4. Print your ‘Indian wedding invitation’ and send it to the people you want to invite.

5. Prepare everything for D-Day.

6. Arrange for the reception party. (If you are organizing it)

7. Don't forget to share sweets.

Things you need to prepare for the D - day:

1. Indian wedding invitation is an invitation card, which is a must.

2. Selecting a venue (it can be your own house) and then decorating it.

3. Preparing for food. Generally, people hire cooks to cook for a special occasion. (Caution: you are judged here)

4. Purchase a food catering service if you have invited a large number of guests.

5. If you have planned a lavish wedding, ask your event planner to curate all the stuff beforehand.

6. Ask the photographer to click pictures with varied angles and never miss any moment.

7. Keep the bride and groom free from all the work, so that they can get themselves clicked and it would not be a fuss.

8. Call the religious priest on time; after all, weddings are nothing without marriage vows.

9. If you have appointed a wedding emcee, make sure they are doing their job right.

How does an Indian wedding invitation look like?

For us, it is mandatory to remember all the relative's names until our last breath. We have got to show them the trailer of our wedding through cards. Indian wedding invitation cards should not be dull.

Firstly, think about what kind of card you want. Write the matter which is to be printed on a paper beforehand. If you want a subtle invitation card, choose a light color with exquisite prints. However, if you want a typical invitation card look, choose a bright one. If you don't want either, it's better to customize your invitation card. Try to give a brief info about the wedding: the name of the bride and groom, date, time, venue, and dress code (if any).
